Handling stress in University

Stress is one of the most common factor that creates physical and mental tension to a human being.

In this period of year, where final exams are beginning, stress and anxiety level are starting to grow and can influence your result on your performance during the exams.

Here are some tips that we suggest in order for you to be ready for your finals:

  • Study as much as you can: Anxiety can be caused by the fear of not studying enough, make sure you do!

  • Studying more efficiently: Not knowing your material well enough will not help you stay relaxed. Get some help from friends, students or tutors to understand the topics.

  • Watch your diet: Don’t drink too much caffeine, it can create physical symptoms of anxiety such as shaking.

  • Get enough sleep/relaxation: Resting will help your brain to not over-think and therefore be less anxious.

  • Exercise regularly: Exercise can release tension. Also, sweating can clear out some acid in your body (acid can grow your stress).
